The Woodmen Heights Campus represents the first move toward WVC's vision to be a multi-campus church. The church purchased 63 acres with an option for another 50 acres on the east side of Colorado Springs to facilitate serving the fastest growing portion of the city. The vision of Woodmen Valley Chapel is to meet community needs, provide for other ministries through the shared use of church facilities, and to achieve an economically viable plan for church development.
In Phase 1 a 20,000 SF multi-use building was designed and built to house the congregation that was formerly meeting in a local high school. The campus is planned as a mixed-use community with the church as the primary user, along with support ministries such as a private school, ministry partnerships in adjacent buildings, a retail village, multi-family housing seniors housing and single family homes.
