Cordera Grand Lawn Park and Community Building development is the centerpiece of a designed and planned residential community within the Briargate community offering recreational, social, and cultural opportunities. Specifically planned for the 10 acres are a set of amenities, foremost of which is the park with a trail system. The planned trails will maintain continuity of a regional trail and create a
destination for a linear park. Anchoring the development as a destination is a community center with a multi-purpose meeting room, fitness center, mail center, and swimming pool with locker and shower rooms. As a transition between the community center and park, a demonstration garden is planned. The project is based on a development theme of Gen. William Jackson Palmer's vision of parks, trails, and areas for community members to gather and promote ways to enjoy the outdoors. A landscape theme is proposed that will accentuate the views, open space, and create a distinct sense of place.
